The Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley is dedicated to cultivating a healthy, inclusive environment where individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions are safe, thriving, and enjoy full civil rights.

Programs include:

The Empty Closet New York’s longest continually published LGBTA newspaper. A free publication that includes LGBTA news, entertainment, columns, community calendars, and more.
The Youth Program: Comprehensive advocacy, support services and social events for LGBTA youth (ages 13-21) and their families.
Rochester Pride: Join us the third weekend in July for Pride Festivities
The Education Program & Speakers Bureau: Training and consultation services for schools, businesses, churches and service organizations that diminish stereotypes and promote dialog.
Library & Archives: One of the nations only exclusively LGBTA Libraries with a  circulating collection of over 5,000 items, and an archive of LGBTA related items.
The Gay Alliance Resource Directory- GARD: An on-line community tool providing local, statewide and national resources 24/7.
Shoulders To Stand On: A history project that captures the stories, struggles and achievements of LGBTA pioneers.
Rainbow SAGE: Provides social and educational programs to enhance the lives of LGBTA elders.
SafeZone: Workshops that create inclusive and safe environments in workplaces, schools, colleges and social service agencies.
