National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
About
In 1984 local Rochester businesses, child welfare agencies and community leaders responded to the abduction of Adam Walsh by forming the Adam Walsh Child Resource Center. This center merged with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® in 1992 and became NCMEC's New York regional office. The New York office is located in Rochester, N.Y and has satellite offices in Buffalo, Saratoga Springs and Utica. In addition to the activities noted below the New York office provides technical assistance to families, law enforcement, attorneys, and other professionals concerning missing and exploited children cases.
