Milestones Youth Advocacy & Intervention Program:  Pre-release social skills development workshops for incarcerated youth; A series of life skills/social skills development classes for youth and young adults who seek denouncement from gang association; conflict resolution; street outreach for targeted gang members in need of intervention/prevention services; financial literacy and budget workshops to help cope with the stress of converting from illegitimate money-making to legitimate financial income; Social work-ethic skills training to prepare for effectiveness in the working world.

Eligibility:   Milestones targets youth ages 14 to 21 years old who are at-risk or experiencing street cultural issues and/or are in the juvenile justice system, and who either voluntarily or by mandate participate in the program. Youth of all socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds are eligible for the program. Milestones is not geared to serve youth who commit Class A felonies or sex offenses.
Hours:  Milestones delivers its services in transitional classrooms and workshops settings. Classes are Monday through Friday between the hours of 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm

Summer Youth Employment Program:  ABC provides Summer youth employment programs that are funded by Rochester Works and/or the City of Rochester if funding is available.  The Summer Youth Employment program provides paid work experience, Job Readiness Training, career exploration, academic enrichment,and exposure to civic engagement.

Eligibility:  Youth who have applied for the Summer of Opportunity Program through RochesterWorks! and/or theCity of Rochester.

Sexual Health Promotion Through Youth Advocacy & Leadership:  Youth 4 Change/Sexual Health Promotion through Youth Leadership (SHPYL) program is a youth leadership and advocacy group who are changing their community to promote optimal sexual health for teens and young adults. We are a group of young people and adult leaders within Action for a Better Community Action Front Center.

Eligibility:  Rochester youth ages 13 – 24 years old who are at risk for HIV, STIs or unintended pregnancy. Youth Leadership program participants must be between the ages of 16 – 24 years old.
