SPCC: Family Trauma Intervention Program
The Family Trauma Intervention Program (FTIP) is a home and agency-based program providing a wide array of services for children and families who have experienced some sort of trauma and/or have been impacted by domestic violence. The program has been designed to help parents cope with the challenges of parenthood as well as to address the issues of trauma and/or loss. FTIP staff is cross-trained in the areas of trauma and domestic violence and is currently the only home-based program which provides counseling services specific to children impacted by domestic violence. Services include, but are not limited to: supportive counseling (individual, family and group) for non-offending parents and their children, crisis intervention, parenting skills training, advocacy, information, and referral services. Additionally, staff is available to provide community education workshops/trainings.
