The Urban League of Rochester offers the following programs and classes:
--The Family Consultant Program provides intensive family counseling, crisis intervention, parenting skills training and assistance in accessing and utilizing community resources for families at risk of losing their children to foster care.
--Parenting Education Classes - a series of eight 90-minute classes are held on a weekly basis. Participants gain knowledge of positive parenting practices, child development, and age-appropriate expectations for their children. The classes consist of an educational segment including informational handouts and videos and followed by role-play and group activities.Offers Youth Counseling and Advocacy services to students in Charlotte, Frederick Douglass, Jefferson and Monroe middle school students.
