About

The Victor Farmington Food Cupboard is a client choice pantry, which means when you visit, you get to make your own selections from the food we have to offer.  You may visit our cupboard once a month.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Mondays 9:30 to 11:30 am and 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Wednesdays  9:30 to 11:30 am and 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Thursdays 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Fridays  9:30 am to 11:30 am
Please do not arrive more than 1/2 hour before we open.  We are always busiest at the beginning of shifts, so you may want to come a little later when more parking is available.

In order for us to make sure there is enough food for all families and to make sure everyone is comfortable when they come through the cupboard, there are a few rules that we need to follow.

PROOF OF RESIDENCY

We require proof of residency from every adult in your household.  Acceptable forms of proof are a drivers license or offical mail received at your residence such as a utility bill.  We also need to see proof of dependency for all the children in your household.  This can be a birth certificate or guardianship papers.  These requirements do not mean that you have to live in Victor or Farmington, only that you have to provide proof of the number of people in your house.  You will only have to provide these things on your first visit.

AMOUNTS OF FOOD

Based on the size of your household, you will be given a card with the amount of items you may select when you visit.  Please limit yourself to the number of choices  listed on your card.  There may also be signs posted that limit how much each family can take -- or that certain items count as "2 items" instead of one.

Policy Changes effective October 1, 2012

Due to ever increasing demand for our services as well as a decrease to our funding the following changes will go into effect October 1, 2012:

Client may visit one time per month.
When shelf stable milk is available, it will be given out in place of a milk voucher.
When shelf stable milk is not available, clients will have the option of either 1 dozen medium eggs OR 1 gallon of milk. There will be separate vouchers for milk and eggs.
Other food items on our shelves may be limited or unavailable at times. Our shelves will be stocked with what is available to us at the best cost.

To our clients outside of Victor-Farmington/Victor School District: If you are unaware of food pantries that may be able to assist you in your home town, please let us know so that we can put you in touch with them.
