Mental Health Association: Family Support Services
Family Support Services works in the community to provide support to families raising children with a mental health diagnosis and/or behavioral challenges. They offer a variety of parenting classes and support groups, as well as:
Understanding and support by phone, in person, in groups and individually.
Care Coordination Orientation
Assistance with school-related issues
Free childcare while attending support and parent discussion groups
Free transportation (for those who need it) to support group meetings
Coping strategies that can help you to better deal with the stress in your home
Assistance for families in identifying and developing natural supports
Family development through parent discussion, education, and skill-building groups.
