Our Black Maternal Health Week Walk-A-Thon on April 13, 2024 at Genesee Valley Park was phenomenal! It was a great time, for a great cause, with even greater people. Thank you for all those who were present and supported the event!
Black Breastfeeding Week
Healthy Baby Network proudly hosted a successful event for Black Breastfeeding Week! The gathering was filled with engaging discussions, informative workshops, and a supportive atmosphere that celebrated the importance of breastfeeding within the Black community. Attendees connected, shared experiences, and learned valuable resources to promote breastfeeding. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a meaningful celebration of culture, health, and community!
Community Baby Shower Event
This heartwarming event brought together families and friends to honor expecting parents in our community. With joyful games, delicious food, and a supportive atmosphere, we created a space filled with love and encouragement. Guests showered the parents-to-be with thoughtful gifts and shared valuable parenting advice.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success!

Sunday marked the start of Black Breastfeeding Week. The national initiative runs through Aug. 31 and was created to address the disparities facing black families when it comes to improving infant and maternal health through breastfeeding. Event aims to raise awareness for healthcare needs of Black mothers.

The Healthy Baby Network held an event to highlight the experiences of Black mothers. It’s part of Black Breastfeeding Week and this year’s theme is “Listen Up”.
​
The non-profit, which is dedicated to assisting pregnant women and families get the best start possible, hosted the event with music, games, raffles, food, and plenty of fun. The aim was to urge healthcare providers, local government leaders, and community members to address the needs of Black mothers.
